Who does The Healing Porch treat?

The Healing Porch provides specialized anxiety treatment for adults ages 18 and older located in Florida, Idaho, and New Hampshire.

Do I need to know what type of anxiety I have?

No. Your initial anxiety evaluation is designed to help us understand your symptoms and determine whether The Healing Porch is the right fit for your needs.

What types of anxiety do you treat?

We treat anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, specific phobias, and health anxiety.

Do you provide therapy?

Yes. We provide anxiety-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). We do not provide general or open-ended psychotherapy unrelated to anxiety treatment.

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes. Non-controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate as part of your anxiety treatment plan.

Do you prescribe Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, or other controlled substances?

No. The Healing Porch does not prescribe benzodiazepines or other controlled substances.

Do you treat depression?

The Healing Porch specializes in anxiety. Depressive symptoms that occur along with anxiety may be addressed when clinically appropriate, but we do not provide treatment for primary depression without anxiety.

What services do you NOT provide?

The Healing Porch does not provide emergency or crisis services, court-ordered or forensic evaluations, custody evaluations, disability evaluations, emotional support animal documentation, service animal letters, or housing verification letters.

What if I am experiencing an emergency?

The Healing Porch is not a crisis or emergency service.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, are in immediate danger, or need urgent assistance, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room for immediate evaluation and assistance.

Are appointments virtual?

Yes. The Healing Porch currently provides care through secure telehealth for patients located in Florida, Idaho, and New Hampshire.

When are appointments available?

Appointments are currently available on Saturdays.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance is currently accepted in Florida and Idaho for participating plans. New Hampshire insurance credentialing is in progress, so New Hampshire patients are currently self-pay only.
